COACHING
Having so much exposure to many
different styles throughout her training,
Ashlyn has cultivated her own
approach to teaching combining the
classicism of strict Vaganova technique
and the movement quality that
American dancers possess.
She has trained her eye extremely well
to be able to fix a problem with
even a glance and a slight shift,
and she takes the time to educate
others to be able to visualize
and fix those issues themselves.
She believes there is truly no
one way to give a correction to help
a dancer, she spends time with every
single student to make sure
everyone has an understanding.
Besides being thoughtful with her
words and examples on proper
placement and dancing freely,
she tries to instill the work ethic
that was once shown to her.
How to go above and beyond
to reach whatever goals
someone may have...
How to work smart
(not always hard)
is the key to success.
