Ashlyn Mae is a professional ballet dancer, teacher and photographer.

Originally from Providence, Rhode Island, she started her training at 

Festival Ballet Providence.

She then went on to dance in the pre-professional program at Boston Ballet School

where she was taught by Margaret Tracey, Igor Burlak, Kathleen Mitchell,

Christopher Anderson, Christine Busch, Alla Nikitina, Laura Young and others.

She performed in Boston Ballet School's Next Generation and Boston Ballet’s Nutcracker 

at the Boston Opera House for multiple years.

At fifteen, she moved to New York City to train at Ellison Ballet

under the guidance of Erin Forrest.

Her repertoire there included:

Shades Pas De Trois from La Bayadere, La Esmeralda Pas De Quatre, Gamzatti's Temple Destruction Variation,

Queen of the Dryads Variation as well as various pieces by Edward Ellison and Erin Forrest.

After two years, she relocated to Arizona’s Master Ballet Academy and Phoenix Ballet,

under the direction of Slawomir and Irena Wozniak.

She performed principal roles in their Nutcracker and had the opportunity to dance

Albert Blaise Cattafi's "String of Thoughts" as well as a piece by Francisco Gella.

She went on to dance as a soloist with American National Ballet after being hired by

Rasta Thomas and is currently freelancing.

 

She has spent summers at American Ballet Theatre, Boston Ballet and Ellison Ballet.

 

She was awarded second place at YAGP Phoenix in 2017

and is in the upcoming dance film, On Pointe.

 

She has also been featured in Dance Spirit and Pointe Magazine 

as well as in advertisements for Russian Pointe, Flexistretcher and Grishko.

She is also a ballet and contemporary teacher primarily on the east coast.

She has taught locally around Rhode Island, and has been summer guest faculty

at Exchange Street Studio among others.

​

Her other passions include photography and choreography,

which she hopes to keep pursuing alongside her ballet career.

​

Ashlyn has also made her Instagram a business, accumulating over 52,000 followers.

She runs ads and creates content for varied companies including 

Sonata Dancewear, Health-Ade Kombucha, Gaynor Minden, Phenomenal Woman,

OSEA Malibu, So Danca, Fré Skincare, Purple Carrot and many others.

She continues to share her positive messages about her strong belief in 

veganism and showing love for all with her followers.
